Group Presence at Big 5 - Dubai

Laidlaw Interiors were flying the Group flag for the first time since inception at the Big 5 Construction Exhibition held at the Dubai World Trade Centre in November 2011. Unlike the previous 2 years, Laidlaw Interiors were also on a much bigger stand of 15sqm signifying the importance of having a group-wide presence.

Big 5 is an international exhibition comprising of 5 main construction fields – Building & Construction, Water Technology & Environment, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration, Bathrooms & Ceramics and Marble & Stone. Laidlaw Interiors Group were proud to be within the Building & Construction segment and part of the British Pavilion supported by UKTI.

Whilst there was representation via colourful graphics and products from all group companies complete with local Case Study examples, the key focus was the Healthcare market with suitable products such as Anti-ligature, Vision Panels and Ironmongery displayed accordingly. Switchglass and various group literature was all on hand for the visitors to see.

One of the key highlights this year was the number of very high profile dignitaries that graced us with their presence courtesy of the UKTI. Susan Haird – Deputy CEO UKTI, London, Nicholas Soames - MP for mid Sussex, The Rt. Hon. The Baroness Elizabeth Symons of Vernham Dean and Guy Warrington Consulate General, Embassy, Dubai. All pictured right. They appear to show great interest with Nicholas Soames ( previously MP for Crawley) in particular recalling the Komfort brand name and our units in Crawley.
