Orbis Pocket Doorsets - Introduction

Orbis Pocket Doorset Range is a heavy duty sliding door system in which the door slides neatly into the wall cavity. It is suitable for heavy traffic applications in areas such as care homes, schools and hospitals.

The products listed within this publication are subject to a 10 year guarantee against defects proved to be the result of faulty manufacture or defective materials. Extended guarantees can be obtained for specific projects on application via your Laidlaw Technical Consultant and subject to an agreed maintenance programme.

Roomsaver Design

The sliding door system provides significant benefits to the occupant. With the door sliding into the wall "Roomsaver" design combines optimum stability with maximum free passage, ideal for situations which require wider openings or simply where spaces is limited. The ability to provide single doors up to 1230mm wide makes Orbis Pocker Doors particularly useful for wheelchair users or in healthcare applications, allowing the passage of beds without the need for double doors.

Orbis Pocket Doorsets - Frames

Orbis Pocket Doorsets can be supplied in sizes up to and including 1230 x 2700mm as a single leaf and can be installed into wall thickness of 100mm, 125mm and 150mm.

Frames Construction

Frames are produced in 1.5mm steel with a highly resilient white powder coated finish as standard. All frames are supplied with a double recess and reinforcement. The mechanism requires no floor guides and the smooth action of the sliding system includes built-in brush seals and end buffers giving a perfectly smooth and stable action.

Split Head Facility

A split head frame construction allows a ceiling mounted hoist system to pass cleanly through the doorway without interrupting the action of the door.
