Anti-Barricade Cylinders
A range of cylinders featuring a clutch mechanism within the cylinder which prevents a person thwarting the operation of the lock by holding the thumbturn. These are for use with a choice of thumbturn and escutcheons as
detailed below and are designed to be used in conjunction with Knobsets and Leversets with the lockcases.
Cylinders for Mortice Locksets
Due to the unique design of the Primary and Secondary Barricade Function Mortice Locksets, standard cylinders may be used without jeopardising the safety of the lockset. A full range of single and double Euro profile
cylinders to suite with Orbis Premier and Commercial ranges is available.
Specification advice:
The 01 933 range offers a flat type key, considered more suited for mental health unit (MHU) applications. All the cylinders above will suite with Orbis Premier and Commercial ranges for a full masterkeying capability.
Thumbturn & escutcheon sets
Please note, ensure you specify both the cylinder and thumbturn sets to suit the appropriate door thickness
- Must be a specified for use with Anti-barricade cylinders above
- Choice of thumbturns available
- As required by 'Safety First', escutcheons have a bevelled edge to prevent them being used as a ligature point
- Back to back fixings eliminate screw heads on the client side of the door
