Laidlaw scoop GAI Education Awards
More than fifty new Diploma holders were presented with their certificates at this year's Guild of Artchitectural Ironmongers (GAI) Education Awards Lunch at The Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington, London on November 4th. This Diploma is the culmination of three years of study for the successful students and represents one of the most respected qualifications in the building industry. As part of the final year, students must sit a Business Studies Exam plus, crucially, a Scheduling paper where they must produce an ironmongery schedule for a specific project - this year the buidling was a Golf Club
Laidlaw Solutions have had another excellent set of results this year, and are pleased to announce 5 new
diploma Holders;
Garry Watt - Glasgow
Simon Marr - Sheffield
Paul Cowle - Liverpool
Richard Taffs - Willenhall (Picture
shown on the right)
Jon Marchent - Bristol
Paul Cowle recieved an individual
prize for 5th place overall on the
scheduling exam. The students were handed their diploma's by ex Exgland union International Austin Healey. (Picture shown below)
