GAI Education Awards-2011
This year's GAI Education Awards Lunch, held once again at the Royal
Kensington Royal Garden Hotel, London has been rated a great success by
those attending. The lunch was a fitting backdrop for the recognition of
the new GAI Diploma Holders. Once again there was a full house to see 66
Diplomas being presented to the successful Level 3 students and the top
prizes handed out.
Laidlaw were represented by Debra Yates from Willenhall who received her
Diploma as well as Daryl Wright and Natalie Ebler from Leaderflush Shapland.
Peter O'Brien took overall second place for Year 2.
The event's guest speaker was Steve Rider, the well known TV sports presenter with over 30 years experience of reporting on the world's biggest
sporting events for the BBC and ITV. Steve entertained the audience with
stories which gave a behind-the-scenes insight into the winning mentality of
some of the great sports stars that he has been lucky to work with over the
years, and there were many questions from the floor when he finished his
speech.
We have a number of Laidlaw students embarking on Year 3 for the new academic year, and we wish them all good luck in their studies – hopefully culminating in them all receiving their respective awards at next year’s luncheon.
