Laidlaw Orbis Anti-ligature doorknob set
The Laidlaw Anti-ligature doorknob set is designed for use on either standard mortice lockcases with centres of 72mm (or above). The key benefits of the knobset range are:
The main features are:
- A - Lockcase with stainless steel grade 316 forend with radius end
- B - Corrosion resistant chrome plated latch bolt reversible for left and right hand applications without the need to dismantle the lockcase
- C -Finger grooves on knob to ensure easy operation
- D -A special low-resistance yet durable spring is used to ensure that the knob is easier to turn than would be the case with a standard lockcase
- E - The deadbolt can be thrown and withdrawn from one or both sides as required depending on the cylinder selected. The cylinder to latch function enables the cylinder to withdraw the double throw deadbolt on the second turn of the cylinder and the latchbolt on the third turn, helping to ensure access
- F - Cylinder cloaked by escutcheon
- G - All escutcheons and roses have a bevelled edge
- H - An anti-barricade cylinder ensures that key operation is always possible even if the occupant attempts to hold the thumbturn
